Christmas at Grandma’s Beach House … at the beach

Today, I was at Torquay Books … um … Torquay Toys which is part of Torquay Books but across the road, yano?

It was my final book gig for 2015, and it was great to share both these Christmas books with young readers. And as luck would have it, these two spend Christmas by the beach and then head to a farm where grandparents live. Excellent!

Merry Happy Jolly to everyone! See you on the other side. A bright and shiny 2016 to all.

Taking it to the streets

Friday night and it was Williamstown Christmas Street Fair. All the shops stayed open and there were balloons and giveaways and sticky treats.
So I set up my story mat outside Book and Paper.

I started right at ‘I’m starving’ hour and most of the small people and strollers marched right on by in search of food for the body rather than the soul.
Oh dear. This could be a long night.
But once they were fuelled up, the children returned in waves.
They joined me at the beach and at the farm, and at sea with a hungry sailor.
